This name is inextricably linked with the history of street racing and was destined in many ways to form an image of an entire era in this culture. Therefore, it is infinitely happy that the Japanese finally heeded the pleas of the public and decided to return this legend back to their lineup.

Everyone knew: this is the new birth of the Supra. And even in the series in 2019, she is going to enter a little less spectacular in appearance, however, we are rejoicing, it happened: the legendary sports coupe is very soon preparing to re-settle in our garages and on the tracks!

Cooperation, by the way, is expressed in the fact that the new Supra will borrow the Z4 platform from the German brother, in addition to a pair of motors, so you should expect some similarity to it from a similar model from Munich.
But, it does not accept any compromises in the direction of the soft top – only a classic, only street style. By the way, it is this chassis that will allow the car to jump from the class personified by the 911 Porsche to the one in which Lotus rules. But, they will do this for a reason – Supra, thanks to this and a significant increase in the percentage of carbon fiber in the structure, will become lighter (just 1.35 tons) and even faster.
True, one thing is a little alarming: some parts of the route of the car pass in deathly silence, in which many saw a hint of the long-promised hybridization of the racing variation.
Well, on the one hand, the conservatives will, of course, be outraged. On the other hand, what makes Toyota so worthy to perform on 24 hours is that Le Mans, that Spa, objectively cannot make the model worse. In the end, life does not stand still and we must move forward.

The rear end also looks great with a grotesquely raised trunk line, two predatory tailpipes, and also narrowed lanterns that echo their style with front light.
Well, and, finally, the image is completed by huge cuts in the wheel arches, completely repeating the appearance of the stars of the tracks.
The salon concept, unlike the technical stuffing and external data, turned out to be much less inclined to revolutionary changes, as many could have imagined when looking at the concept. The form factor has remained the same – the same strict guideline for the driver’s (first of all) comfort and two-seater interior.
As for the equipment, it will present the latest and most current Japanese vision of a truly safe, responsive and multifunctional ride, offering a huge modern on-board computer screen, customizable fully digital instrument cluster, as well as a very original type of selector.
As for the hardcore sport version of the model, it is known that under the hood she will rustle authentic TS050 Hybrid, giving (now there will be a couple of heart attacks …) 986 horses!
There is information from insiders that in the civilian version it may be the same, but, naturally, in its deformed incarnation, and it is easy to calculate that it will also become something awe-inspiring among competitors.

Judging by the fact that the model has become very visually hatchback, as well as the numerous compromised options initially stated quite numerous, Toyota has prepared for us the birth of another full-fledged flagship, which will now be bought not only as a track toy, but also as a full-fledged life partner.
She is already preparing to compete with serious enough opponents in the face of the Nissanovsky 370Z, as well as new generations of best-selling Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang.
But the counterparts in the segment from Mercedes-Benz (C-class), the 4th series of BMW, the Cadillac ATS-Coupe and the fifth coupe of Audi, considering the model’s fame and its past, seem only to be at random at its party, as they are far from so belligerent, not to mention the difference in price range.
